Six Reasons You’re Not Writing Right Now

“I would write more, but I’m just too busy.”
“I only really write when I’m traveling or in crisis, which I’m not right now.”
“I like the idea of writing, but my work never feels good enough to continue.”

Reasons not to write — we all have them. We fear critique, we don’t make time, we worry about what others will think about our work when we do get around to it. Meanwhile, we have amazing novels and blogs and life-stories swirling up in our heads, waiting to get out.

Here’s a class that will meet your blocks head-on. It will make you feel good about the writer you already are, and to let go the writer you aren’t. Through short audio workshops, tiny projects and radical permission slips, you will identify your blocks and work with them, to move towards the creative life you’ve always craved.

How does it work?
The class consists of six parts, each delivered as a beautiful email to your inbox. When you sign up, you’ll be asked whether you want to receive the emails every day for six days, every week for six weeks, or every month for six months. Once you decide, your intro email will arrive within the hour and the rest of the emails will roll out from there, according to the schedule you picked.

How much does it cost?
Because I want TONS of people to experience this class, I am keeping this at a low, cool $25.

Can I sign up any time?
You bet!

How do I sign up?
Just click “add to cart” here and it will walk you through the process. Once you have paid, you’ll be asked if you want your emails to arrive daily, weekly or monthly. You will pop your email address into the appropriate box and your welcome message will arrive within the hour.    ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
What will I get?
You’ll receive six beautiful emails, each inviting you to look at, and move through, one of your writing blocks. Each email will include a link to a short, specially-designed audio workshop warmup to get your pen moving (under 10 minutes) and a longer audio file (18-20 minutes) with a writing project that will address the block directly. You’ll also receive radical permission slips, resource recommendations and tons of love.

What are other people saying about the class?
“I write for a living. I write and I edit and I flush out what my clients are trying to convey. It’s great work and I love it, but when the day was over, I didn’t feel inspired to write my own stories. In fact, I felt the furthest thing from it. Six Reasons helped me (a) recognize that I wasn’t alone in my feelings, and (b) move forward to a point where I actually have a good story in the mix that I can’t wait to work on. I’m even writing my own stuff on the weekends!”

“For many months, writing felt like this big monster looking down on me, and I slowly lost confidence in my creative work. But your e-class has changed everything. From the first assignment, I felt comfortable again in my creative world. Your class has shown me clearly the kind of writer I am, and the work I’m drawn to, and has let me be proud of that.”

This class promises to:
* Identify some of the core reasons you’re not writing (and maybe name some you didn’t even know you had!)
* Give you the tools to write, think and feel you way through those blocks.
* Make you smile and write things you didn’t expect.
* Talk about real creative successes I’ve experienced myself or witnessed in my wonderful community of students.
* Help you identify (and feel good about!) the kind of writer you are, and give you permission to let go of the kind of writer you aren’t.

This class absolutely will not:
* Tell you how you should write (In fact, it won’t use the word “should” even once.)
* Push you into disciplines or practices that don’t feel fun and organic.
* Preach or lecture anything.
* Deliver anything I didn’t learn with my own eyes, ears and heart in my years of teaching and coaching writing.
